Every trip is preceded by a brief introductory talk about the route and what to look out for. You are fitted with comfortable inflatable life-jackets, the boat is launched and then you go in search of the whales. The whales are attracted to the sound of the boat and most often come so close that you can almost touch them. The guide will explain the various communication styles of the whale and we wait to see the big fish breech.
After spending time with the whales, we proceed to Dyer Island, depending on weather and sea conditions. At Dyer Island you view African penguins at play, Cape cormorants and many other species. We also often spot giant petrels, Cape gannets, white chinned petrels and storm petrels. Neighbouring Dyer Island is Geyser Rock, home to thousands of Cape Fur Seals. The stretch of water between the two islands is Shark Alley. We visit Shark Alley to view the seals. The colony is thriving and there is always lots of activity. After about 3 to 4 hours, depending on the day, we head back to land. Upon return you enjoy a light lunch and then you are driven back to Cape Town.

You discover the truth about these gentle giants of the sea that have been misunderstood for centuries. We collect you at you hotel and drive to Gansbaai where you muster with the other shark divers at the Great White House. You enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the restaurant before the boat launch. Every trip is preceded by a brief introductory talk about the route and what to look out for. You are fitted with comfortable inflatable life-jackets, the boat is launched and you arrive at the anchorage within 25-minutes. The anchor is lowered, the cage goes into the water, a scent trial is made and then we settle down. Final preparations for the diving are made, and the rest of the day is spent watching, diving and enjoying the day in the company of the Great White Shark. Each person is given sufficient time in the cage, viewing the sharks – aided by wetsuits and diving masks. Upon return you enjoy a light lunch and then you are driven back to Cape Town.

Situated along the southwestern coast of the African continent, Namibia is truly a land of remarkable contrasts. Its land surface is four times the size of Great Britain. Despite its size, it is one of the most sparsely populated countries in Africa. The small population is due to the fact that Namibia is the most arid country south of the Sahara. Namibia is a country of clear blue skies and a pleasant climate. Its landscapes are an ever-changing kaleidoscope – changing from the Namib dune sea in the west to the teak woodlands and the waterways in the northeast. The Namib Desert with its diamonds and the Skeleton Coast stretches along the cold Atlantic Ocean. This desert boasts some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Between the largest canyon in Africa, the Fish River Canyon, and the famous Etosha National Park, with its abundance of wildlife, a diverse collection of scenic beauty, people and activity based attractions form the unique blend of culture and hospitality for which Namibia is famous. It is truly a country to be seen to be believed.
